ACCA exempts DU accounting graduates from its 7 courses
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a global body for professional accountants, has exempted only BBA (accounting) graduates of Dhaka University from taking its first seven courses, out of 14, to get its chartered accountant degree.
ACCA announced it at a programme organised by ACCA and DU at the university's Senate Building on Wednesday.
Prof Nasreen Ahmad, pro-vice chancellor (education) of DU, Stephen Heathcote, ACCA executive director markets, and Mohua Rashid, head of ACCA Bangladesh, also spoke at the event.
