Abdus Sobhan made principal secy to PM
Public Administration Secretary Abdus Sobhan Sikder has been made principal secretary to the prime minister.
A gazette notification was issued in this regard today.
Sikder was made the principal secretary as part of an ongoing move to revamp the prime minister’s office by inducting people with experience and a clean image to avoid controversy and speed up development activities.
Tenure of the incumbent principal secretary to the premier -- Shaikh Md Wahid-uz Zaman -- is to expire in mid-February.
Meanwhile, education secretary Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury has been made public administration secretary, while Election Commission secretary Dr M Sadik the education secretary.
