Abducted man rescued in KL

Two days after being abducted in Kuala Lumpur, a 65-year-old Bangladeshi was rescued by Malaysian police on Friday night.
Fazlul Huq, father-in-law of Enam Medical College & Hospital owner and Awami League MP Enamur Rahman, was kidnapped Wednesday on his way to Kuala Lumpur International Airport to catch a flight home.
On Friday afternoon, the Rapid Action Battalion in Tangail arrested two persons allegedly linked to the gang involved in the abduction.

After interrogating the duo, the elite force contacted Malaysian police through Bangladesh mission in Kuala Lumpur, according to Rab officials.  
Huq, who holds a Malaysian passport, frequently visits that country, Major Rumman Mahmud, deputy director of Rab's media wing, told The Daily Star.
This time, he took with him a large amount of money to start a restaurant business in Kuala Lumpur.
To visit places, Huq usually hires the taxi of a Bangladeshi national, Delwar. On Wednesday, instead of driving to Kuala Lumpur Airport, Delwar took him to a farmhouse.
This was when Huq was abducted, said the official.
Forced by Delwar, Huq asked his son Tutul over the phone to send Tk 1 crore at the earliest, without disclosing anything about the abduction.
The next day, Huq again called Tutul and asked whether the money has been collected. In reply, the son said he was yet to arrange it.
The kidnappers then talked with Tutul, told him about the abduction and asked him to send the amount immediately.
After the phone conversation, it was settled that Tk 30 lakh will be paid to the abductors in Malaysia and the rest will be given to their men in Bangladesh.
Tutul informed Rab of the matter.
On the elite force's suggestion, he contacted with a gang member, who asked him to bring the money to the slope of the approach road to Jamuna Bridge in Tangail.
After the money was dropped at a point on the slop as specified by the gang, two men appeared there, only to be arrested by Rab members waiting nearby.
The duo -- Al Amin and Nazrul -- told Rab that they are construction workers in Dhaka, according to some sources.
But Rab officials said Al Amin's brother Abdul Alim, who has been living in Malaysia for the last 10 years, is a member of the gang.
Alim talked to Al-Amin over the phone several times on Thursday and Friday, they added.
