A melodious gathering
The four-day folk festival ended in Jessore on Friday night, as the gathering of folk artistes dismantled, but not before leaving an impression on the hearts of the residents of the town. On the last day of the festival, Indian and Bangladeshi artistes attracted the audience with their melodies.
The last day's programme started with the National Anthem, following which a discussion was held.

Indian artiste, and a follower of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, Tushar De earned accolades from the audience, singing songs of Bhupen Hazarika, Hemanga Biswas and Lalon Fokir.
Indian artistes Monisha Ghosh, Nil Raton and Kanchi Lal, and local artistes Mohammad Ali Biswas, Hira Mohon, Siddique Baul, Sohel Rana, Rofiqul Islam, Anil Mukherjee, and Naruttom Nath sang the songs of Lalon, Radharaman, Shah Abdul Karim, Pagla Kanai, Hasan Raza.
The festival, organised by Jessore District Udichi Shilpi Ghosthi, commenced on April 15 at Rowshon Ali Monch at Town Hall ground in Jessore town.
