3 killed in Pabna road crash

Three people were killed when a stone-laden truck skidded off the road and fell into a roadside ditch in Santhia upazila of Pabna this morning.
Deceased Shah Alam, 34, driver of the truck and Nabiuddin, 48, were residents of Shalaipur village in Sadar upazila, said Shahed Mahmud, officer-in-charge of Santhia Police Station.
Identity of the other could not be known immediately, reports our Pabna correspondent.
The stone-laden truck fell into a roadside ditch around 7:30am when the trucker lost control over the vehicle on Madhpur-Santhia road at Boalpara killing the three on the spot.
Police said the trucker might have lost control due to low visibility level on the road caused by heavy fog.
