2 carriages of train burnt in Narayanganj arson, 12 petrol bombs recovered near Ctg rail station

Two passengers and a helper of a truck were burnt and two drivers injured in separate firebomb attacks on four vehicles in Chittagong and Feni on Sunday.
A passenger Hossain Mia, 48, was critically burnt and drivers of two covered vans were injured when unidentified miscreants hurled petrol bombs and crude bombs at the vehicles in Madhabpur area on Feni bypass link of Dhaka-Chittagong highway around 9:00pm, our Feni correspondent reports quoting Mahbub Morshed, officer-in-charge of Feni Model Police Station.
The two injured -- Halim, 38, and Hridoy Biswas, 35, -- are drivers of two covered vans, the OC said.
In Chittagong city, a passenger of a bus Kamrul Alam, 52, was burnt in Hamjarbag area of Chittagong city around 7:00pm.
In Mirsarai upazila, the truck helper Nazrul Islam suffered burn injuries on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway early today.

Five unites of Fire Service and Civil Defence brought the blazes under control after unidentified miscreants set fire to two carriages of a local train in Narayanganj rail station around 11:07pm, sources at fire service headquarters in Dhaka told The Daily Star.
No one was hurt in the arson.
The local train no 238 arrived at the station from Dhaka around 1:50pm, our Narayanganj correspondent reports quoting Manjur Kader, officer-in-charge of Narayanganj Sadar Model Police Station.
The incident took place after all passengers left the train, the OC said.  

12 petrol bombs recovered near Ctg rail station

Meanwhile, Anser members guarding the rail lines at Chittagong rail station found 12 abandoned petrol bombs on the track in Dewanhaat over bridge area about a kilometre away from the station in the city around 10:45pm, Major Tanveeer Mahmud, 28th Battalion second-in-command of Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) told The Daily Star.
Two Dhaka-bound trains -- Dhaka mail trail and Turna-Nishitha – were put on hold after the law enforcement authorities were tipped-off about a possible arson attack, the BGB official said.
After the recovery, the mail train left Chittagong station at 11:30pm, our Chittagong correspondent reports.
