But it would be unfortunate if a rights activist like Elina is harassed capitalising the existing state of emergency, they added.

The lawyers urged the government to come forward to protect the dignity of Elina whose contribution to help resolving many sensational cases is praiseworthy.

They said if there is any specific allegation against her, it should be investigated properly.
