Road renamed after Dr Muhammad Shahidullah

Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) has renamed a city road from Doel Chattar to Babupura police camp after Dr Muhammad Shahidullah in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Bangla literature. Adviser for Industries Geeteara Safiya Chowdhury and Mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka yesterday unveiled the plaque marking the renaming of the road as 'Dr Muhammad Shahidullah Sarak'. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof SMA Faiz and other personalities were also present at the ceremony.
