22 die in Indian wedding party road accident

Twenty-two members of a wedding party were killed yesterday when their transport collided head-on with a truck in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, police said. "A lorry loaded with a crane smashed against a van carrying 49 members of a marriage party on its way to the bridegroom's village," district police officer Thavaraya, who uses only one name, told AFP by telephone.
