Saiful Alam Chisty, BCL organising secretary of the university unit, filed the case with Ashulia Police Station against Joint Secretary Mahfuz and other activists Sohel, Abu Sayem, Sharif, Pervez, Shumon, Mahi, Chayan, Reza, Jamal, Aminul and Titu.

Meanwhile, the university authorities have also formed an investigation committee, headed by Associate Prof Altaf Hossain on the incident, and asked the committee to submit its report within next two weeks.

Sources said eight BCL activists, including Chisty, were injured in the attack by the supporters of Mahfuz group following a previous enmity on Friday.
