Polytech student strangled

A student of Tejgaon Polytechnic Institute was strangled at Jatrabari in the city yesterday.

The body of Regan, a first year student of the institute, was found on the rooftop of a five-story building at Wapda Colony in the evening. An electric wire was found tied around his neck.

Police recovered the body last night and sent it to Mitford Hospital morgue.

"Regan left home after some unidentified people called him over cell phone at 2:00pm," said Nasir Uddin, father of the deceased.

Police said that the residents of the building even do not know when and how Regan was taken to the rooftop.
