'Sisimpur': Taking a leaf from 'Apur Sansar'


Sisimpur, the Bangladeshi adaptation of TV series Sesame Street is catching the interest of young ones. Through muppets Halum, Shiku, Tuktuki and Ikri, Sisimpur offers viewers educational yet entertaining fare.

'Family' is the subject of the upcoming episode, which will be aired Friday on BTV at 9:05 am. Tuktuki dreams of being a doctor, teacher, bus driver--all rolled into one. There will also be an interesting story similar to the famous film Apur Sansar. In Ikri's world one will witness the adventures of Gaanwala and Bhuto in a deep forest.

In live action, the viewer will see a touching segment of a young orphan boy fortunate to have loving foster parents. In animation, the number 11 and the letter 'paw' is seen.

For those who miss an episode, it is possible to see a re-telecast on the following Saturday, Monday and Wednesday at 2 :05 pm.
