Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury formally inaugurated the transmission at a ceremony at Theatre Institute Chattagram (TIC) auditorium.

Mohiuddin in his speech said the new TV channel aims at putting up the potentialities of Chittagong before the whole world.

Apart from focusing on the plentiful resources, the channel would also highlight the varied culture and history of the port city, he said.

He also referred that Chittagong was first to resist against the occupying forces of Pakistan during the War of Liberation.

He said despite its role in the history of freedom and contributions to national economy Chittagong had always been neglected.
