Porto unfazed by Mourinho

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho's return to former club FC Porto for the last 16 of the Champions League will be treated like any other match, the Portuguese side's current coach Jesualdo Ferreira said Friday. "All I'm thinking is that it is a knockout match with a very strong team which wants to win the Champions League," he told reporters when asked if facing Mourinho, who led FC Porto to victory in the competition in 2004, had any special significance for him. "I have no special history with Chelsea so I don't make any evaluation of the game through that factor," he said. "Of our six possible opponents Chelsea were not the ones we felt would be easy both at the tactical level and in terms of the quality of players. They are currently one of the best teams in the world." Ferreira signed with FC Porto for one year in August from cross-town rivals Boavista. He is the Portuguese first division leaders' fifth coach since Mourinho left FC Porto to join Chelsea in June 2004. Chelsea, winners of Group A, travel to Portugal for the first leg against the Group G runners-up on either February 20 or 21. Mourinho faced Porto once before since he joined Chelsea -- the two clubs were drawn together in the group stages in 2004/05 with the London team losing in Portugal but winning at home.
