New boys Batch 06 clinched the North South University intra-batch football competition with a 2-1 victory over defending champions Batch 04 in the final at the Banani WAPDA ground yesterday.Rony opened the scoring for Batch 06 when his long-range effort gave them the lead in the first-half. But Batch 04 struck back through Rizwan's header a few minutes later. Both sides were locked in a tense battle but Asif eased all pressure when he struck the winner for Batch 06 in the final minutes of the final. Minhaj was adjudged best player for his three goals while Batch 03 were given the fairplay award.
