The missions held discussions and offered special prayers for the salvation of the departed souls of the war heroes, according to messages received in Dhaka yesterday.

Celebrating the Victory Day, Bangladesh High Commissioner to Australia M Humayun Kabir, in a discussion meeting held on the high commission premises, called upon the expatriate Bangladeshis to work for innovation in thoughts and to convey the objective image of the nation before the international community.

President of Bangladesh Australia Association Canberra Inc. Abdul Quader, Dr Abed Chowdhury also spoke on the occasion highlighting the significance of the Victory Day.

Bangladesh embassy in Nepal also celebrated the day by holding various programmes.

All officers and staff, including their family members, and expatriate Bangladeshis attended the programmes.
