Diplomats of three western countries had a meeting with BNP leaders at former state minister for home affairs Lutfozzaman Babar's residence in Gulshan last night.

According to sources, the three ambassadors talked about the Election Commission (EC) reconstitution and the upcoming election during the meeting.

The meeting started around 9:00pm and continued until a few minutes past midnight at Babar's Gulshan-2 house.

Sources said, BNP Secretary General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan, former foreign minister M Morshed Khan, former education minister Osman Faruk and former adviser to the foreign affairs ministry Riaz Rahman were present in the meeting.

The meeting follows the caretaker government advisers' new move to implement the EC reconstitution package.
