Patriotic songs at Rabindra Sarobar

Getting a head start on the victory day celebrations, Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad arranged a musical soiree titled Somudre uttal jonotar torongo ke rodhe at Rabindra Sarobar on December 9. Eminent singers Sanjida Khatun, Mita Huque, Mohiuzzaman Chowdhury, Khairul Anam Shakil, Liakot Ali Lucky, and Chandana Majumdar rendered patriotic songs at the programme. Bhaswar Bandyoapadhyay and Golam Sarwar recited poems. Chhayanat, Surtirtho, and Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad gave choral renditions.Popular patriotic and inspirational songs like Ekhono gelo na adhar, Mago bhabna keno ar, Nahi bhoy nahi bhoy, Aji Bangladesher hridoy hote, durgomo giri kantarmoru, Dhonno ami jonmechhi ma, Pothe ebar namo sathi were performed at the occasion. Wahidul Haque, president of the organisation, and Bulbul Islam delivered speeches at the programme.
