Drilling of Bibiyana gas field completed

Successful drilling work on the north pad of Bibiyana Gas Field in Nabiganj upazila under Habiganj district has been completed, Nasir Ahmed, a high official of Chevron gas field exploring company said.Now the company will conduct experimental work and feasibility study of gas in the field, he said. Fire will be set in its high pipe on experimental basis within a day or two, he said further. He asked local people not to be panicked during the work. Final production will be resume in February, he said adding, 200 million cubic feet (cft) of gas will be produced daily from the field after start of production.
