Bazlus Sattar, a veteran politician and a close associate of Moulana Bhashani, passed away due to old-age complications at his Sattar Manzil residence in Chittagong yesterday morning at the age of 97, says a press release.He was the eldest son of late Khan Bahadur Abdus Sattar, the first elected chairman of the then Chittagong municipality. He was also involved with many social organisations. He left behind his wife, one son, five daughters and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death. His qulkhwani will be held in Sattar Manzil after Asr prayers on Monday.
