Muggers stab autorickshaw passenger to death

Muggers stabbed a sales manager of a cement company to death in Maghbazar level crossing area in the city last night.The victim was identified as Khan Mohammad Sohrab Rajib, 45. He was returning to his home at Paltan from Mohakhali by an autorickshaw at around 7:30pm. When the autorickshaw got stuck in a traffic congestion near the level crossing, four muggers suddenly got into the three-wheeler, the driver said. As Sohrab tried to resist the gang, they stabbed him in his chest and fled the scene with a bag he was carrying. The driver with the help of policemen rushed Sohrab to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
