Mobile court seals off Techno Diagnostic Centre

A mobile court yesterday sealed off Techno Diagnostic Centre at Mohammadpur in the city and issued an arrest warrant against its owner as its staff failed to produce DG health certificate and atomic energy commission certificate.During a drive against unhygienic condition, the mobile court team led by Magistrate Narayan Chandra Debnath found that the centre has no skilled technicians and is using date-expired reagents. The X-ray room is also not encased. Moreover, chickens and medicines were found in the same fridge. The team also raided New Capital Diagnostic Complex and Unique Medical Centre in the area and fined them Tk 40,000 and Tk 20,000 respectively for failing to maintain hygiene standards. New Capital Diagnostic Complex had neither the trade licence nor the atomic energy commission certificate. The team also found 30,000 date-expired syringes in the complex. Its X-ray room was filthy and does not have required equipment. The Unique Medical Centre failed to produce atomic energy commission certificate. The centre has no skilled technician and its X-ray room is not encased.
