58 teachers go to Delhi tomorrow for IT training
A total of 58 teachers from different schools and colleges of Bangladesh will leave for New Delhi tomorrow to attend a six-week long "Train the Trainer in IT course run by Tata Consultancy Services", says a press release. The course has been tailored specially for teachers from Bangladesh and the training module has been designed keeping in view the diverse background of participants with the ultimate objective of catering to individual needs. The course contents include computer fundamentals, fundamentals of an operating system, Windows 98, Microsoft Office 2000, networking fundamentals, Internets and electronic mail, and introduction to e-Commerce. This would be the third batch of teachers from Bangladesh to be trained under the scheme during 2006. The first batch comprising 63 teachers attended the course from March 20 to April 30, and the second batch comprising 88 teachers attended the course from July 6 to August 16. A total of 250 teachers from Bangladesh were trained under the scheme in the year 2004.
