Fire breaks out in city thread warehouse

Fire broke out in a thread warehouse at Noorani centre at Imamganj in the old city yesterday, leaving three workers injured.The fire broke out at around 7:20am due to short circuit. Three workers were severely injured while trying to extinguish the fire, fire service sources said. Later, fire brigade managed to bring the blaze under control after one hour. The damage in the fire was estimated at around Tk 10 lakh, said the shop owners. The injured are Hussain Ahmed 25, Abul Hussain 55 and Shaheed Ali 50.
