Rice trader gunned down in Khulna


Outlaws gunned down a rice trader at his house at Burhiardanga village under Phultala upazila of Khulna district yesterday.

He was identified as Yunus Shaikh, 45), son of late Nabuar Rahman.

According to police, a gang of seven stormed into yunus' house at 3:00am and shot him point blank in the chest. He died instantly.

The outlaws left the scene, raising slogans in the name of Purbo Banglar Communist Party (PBCP-Janajuddho).

According to family sources, the slain rice trader got several death threats from the PBCP cadres as he refused give them Tk 15 in toll.
