Cox's Bazar Environmental Journalists' Forum brought out a procession and held a meeting to mark the occasion.

The procession started from the local Public Library Hall at 9 am and paraded the main streets of the town. Nearly 500 processionists including the UNHCR staffers, students of two local schools, members of Rotary International, Bar Association, journalists, NGOs, civil society members and people of all walks of life took part.
