Creating awareness

A few days back a photograph of a human chain published in different national dailies surprised me . A social organisation formed a human chain demanding implementation of Tobacco Control Act in their bid to create public awareness against tobacco. It was definitely an appreciable venture that may help people give up this dangerous habit. But what at the human chain surprised me is that the photograph focused on some children, who were at the front of the chain, carrying posters and wearing caps. The posters and caps had some anti-tobacco slogans. I did not find any reason why these children were used in such a programme.

They should have given it a second thought before bringing children into the scene.
