Football craze
Shamsul Huda Mubin, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST)
"Bangladesh University suspends exams for World Cup.... Bangladesh failed to qualify for the World Cup finals, which will be hosted by Germany". This news was published worldwide before being published in any local newspaper through "the Guardian digital unlimited edition" on 29 May, 2005. I am writing from South Korea, a World Cup playing country, there is no claim to postpone a single class even on the day of final. Most of the educational institutes' students are getting prepared to sit for end semester exams during the World Cup period. The report indicates how much talented (!) our students are referring to the news agency Reuters from Dhaka. This is very unfortunate.
