Buet students to observe Terrorism -Free Day June 8

Anti-Terrorism Buet Student Unity, a platform of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) students, will observe Terrorism-Free Day on June 8 on the campus.Students will observe the Terrorism Free Day demanding trial of the killers of Sony and all other killings across the country. On the day in 2002, Sabekunnahar Sony, a Buet student, was killed during a gunfight between two factions of ruling BNP-backed Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on the campus. On the occasion, the students' unity will place wreaths at the memorial of Sony at 9:00am, form a human chain at 9:20am and hold a solidarity conference at 9:30am.
