DaimlerChrysler South East Asia CEO due today
Ranier Thiel, the new chief executive officer of DaimlerChrysler, South East Asia, will arrive in Dhaka today on a two-day visit, says a press release.

Thiel will also be accompanied by Jochen Carle, vice president of DaimlerChrysler, South East Asia.

During their visit, they are expected to visit Chittagong also.

DaimlerChrysler considers Bangladesh as a growing potential market for high end luxury passenger cars and luxurious commercial vehicles. It is also expecting to introduce Mercedes Benz luxury buses in this country within next few months.

DaimlerChrysler, the manufacturer of Mercedes Benz, has recently changed its global structure. Earlier, Rancon Motors Limited, a sister concern of Rangs Group and the general distributor of Mercedes Benz in Bangladesh, along with all distributors of South East Asia were controlled by DC India. From now on, as a part of global restructuring Bangladesh along with all other distributors of Mercedez Benz of South East Asia will be controlled and monitored by DC Singapore.
