Another mixed day for BD teams

Bangladesh men's team returned to their winning ways in the 37th Chess Olympiad when they won the twelfth round game against Japan by 3.5-0.5 at Turin on Saturday.But the women's team slipped when they lost their twelfth round game against Moldova 2.5-0.5. GM Ziaur Rahman beat Nanjo Ryosuke, IM Reefat Bin Sattar defeated Hayashi Kenji and Mehdi Hasan Parag beat Nakagori Keiki while IM Abdullah Al Rakib shared his board with Sano Tomu to secure the comfortable win. On the other hand, only Tanima Parveen enabled salvage some solace in the women's section when she drew with WGM Agababean Naira while Zakia Sultana and Nazrana Khan Eva lost to IM Petrenko Svetlana and WGM Partac Elena respectively. Bangladesh men's team improved their collection to 25 points while the USA maintained the solo lead with 34 points. Ukraine led the women's table with 28 points while Bangladesh women's team so far bagged 18 points.
