Khulna lift youth title

Khulna clinched the Dhaka Bank Under-19 Youth Cricket Championship title in a low-scoring affair when they won the two-day final against Rajshahi by 41 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur yesterday.

Resuming the day on 53 for six, Rajshahi were bundled out for only 80 on the second and final morning in reply to Khulna's 121.

Masud Rana took two early wickets to kill any Rajshahi hope of chasing down the paltry total while Ali Imran claimed one to finish his figure for 4-18 as a most successful bowler.

Imran was later adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance.
