5 shops gutted in Bandarban

At least five people were injured and five shops gutted early yesterday in a fire at Aziz Nagar Bazar in the hill district of Bandarban.Fire brigade sources said the fire was originated from a tea stall of the bazar at 11:00am. On information, Fire Brigade unit from Chakoria rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze in cooperation with the locals. At least five people were injured while trying to extinguish the fire. The businessmen claimed that valuables worth Tk 20 lakh were gutted in the fire.
