Enqvist hangs up his racket
One of Sweden's greatest tennis players, Thomas Enqvist, repeatedly hit by injury, is to retire from the professional game, reported Swedish daily Svenska Dagbladet on Thursday.
"My driving force has always been the desire to win tournaments and my body no longer has what it takes," said Enqvist.
The 32-year-old won 19 ATP singles titles and was a member of Sweden's victorious Davis Cup team in 1997, although he never claimed a Grand Slam title.
