A career diplomat of the 1979 BCS (Foreign Affairs), Ms Nasim Firdaus had her education in the University of Dhaka with Master in Science in Home Economics.

After joining the service, she obtained Master's degree in International and Comparative Law from the Vrije University, Belgium and in Public Administration from the Harvard University, USA.

During her diplomatic career, Nasim Firdaus has served in various capacities in Bangladesh missions in Islamabad, Washington, DC, Geneva, Kolkata and Brussels.

She is married and has one son.
