Prime Minister Khaleda Zia yesterday said the opposition has no alternative but to go for election and accept people's verdict."You (opposition) must go to the polls. There is no alternative, so take part in the election and accept people's verdict," she said. Addressing a public meeting at Dinajpur Gora Shaheed Maidan, the prime minister said, " This opposition party wants to capture power anyway, even through rigging rather than reform." Referring to her government's stern action against the bombers, she said all those who are engaged in bombings will be caught. "But opposition parties are saying that it's a 'drama'. So you (people) can understand easily how deep their relationships are," she said. Mentioning the arrest of JMB kingpins Abdur Rahman and Bangla Bhai, the prime minister said, "Many developed countries could not do what we have done. We never compromise with terrorism." Khaleda said Islam is a religion of peace and there is no room for terrorism in it. "The bombers are against Islam, the country and its people," she told the meeting. She said the opposition gave ultimatum time and again to topple a government that came to power with two-thirds majority. "Now they have no issue in hand. They want to go to power without participating in the election."
