Police have been directed to submit in seven days a charge-sheet in the case filed in connection with the bomb attack on Jhalakathi judges and the trial is set to be complete in a month or a month and a half.State Minister for Home Affairs Lutfozzaman Babar directed the police administration yesterday regarding submission of the charge-sheet while he was in Barisal with Law Minister Moudud Ahmed to meet the in-laws of the slain senior assistant judge Jagannath Pandey. Moudud said, "The persons involved in the killing will be punished through a trial, which will be complete in a month or a month and a half." The two ministers first visited the scene of the attack at Jhalakathi and then went on to Barisal from where they flew to Bhola. Babar said those who carried out such a heinous attack in the name of Islam are the most despicable in the society. Meantime, the government is considering escorting the judges across the country with gunmen. A home ministry meeting discussed the issue yesterday.
