2 girls gangraped by JCD cadres in Keraniganj

Keraniganj police recovered the body of a victim of gang rape from the river Buriganga on Wednesday.

Hasina, 14, and her sister, aged about 17, were gangraped by several criminals reportedly belonging to Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on July 28.

The hoodlums led by Bellal, 25, Imam Ali, 23, Rubel, 20, and Altaf Hossain, 22, intercepted them while they were going to their elder sister's house at Loterchar from Kalyanpur in the capital.

They dragged the sisters into a bush at Ghatarchar under Keraniganj thana and raped them one after another.

After the incident, the youngest sister, Hasina, a garment worker in the city's Mirpur, was missing.
