7 Indians pushed in

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) yesterday pushed seven Bangla-speaking and a Hindi-speaking Indians into Bangladesh territory through Bamanpara border in Sapahar upazila of Noagaon district.

BDR (Bangladesh Rifles) sources said the Indian border guards pushed the eight Indians into Bangladesh by breaking open the barbed wire fences near pillar no 144 early yesterday.

A BDR patrol team caught the Indians while they were roaming around the Madhuil bus stand under Sapahar upazila in the morning, the sources said.

They said the Indian police picked up them from Nizampur area in Delhi on Monday and brought them to the border at midnight on Friday.

Security has been beefed up along the Noagaon frontier following the push-in incident.
