Injury blow for Henin
French Open champion Justine Henin-Hardenne has pulled out of next month's San Diego tournament with sore hamstrings and could also miss the Toronto event in an attempt to be fit for the US Open at the end of August.
After winning four clay-court tournaments, including Roland-Garros, she lost in the first round at Wimbledon and decided to have three weeks off to get fit.
