Talking about the programme, Deputy Director of Department of Dance and Music, Barun Kumar Sen, said, "Each year such musical soirees are arranged to promote the promising singers. Young singers get a chance to sing together with the acclaimed singers, which encourages them to go ahead." Director General of BSA, Ahmed Nazir, said, "This programme is part of our talent hunt. Promising Tagore and Nazrul singers from different corners of the country, including ethnic minority singers from Khagrachhori district, rendered songs in the programme." Last evening's show started with the presentation of a Nazrul song by Nasima Shahin, an upcoming singer. Amidst the promising Nazrul singers was Arin, who presented Prio Emono Raat. Her voice modulation struck a responsive chord in the audience. Prithwi Raj Badya was also impressive. The rest of the promising singers have a long way to go.
