Akhter made PDB chairman

ANH Akhter Hossain of Dhaka Wasa was appointed new chairman of Bangladesh Power Development Board (PDB). The government yesterday cancelled the lien of Hossain, who was acting as managing director of Dhaka Wasa, and asked him to head the PDB on deputation. The post of PDB chairman fell vacant on Thursday after the government appointed incumbent chairman Kawaja Golam Ahmed as Additional Secretary in the Health Ministry. During the last 10 months, PDB chairman was changed three times.
