Humbert named Airbus chief
AFP, Paris
The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) has named Germany's Gustav Humbert the head of the aircraft maker Airbus. EADS also appointed Noel Forgeard of France and Thomas Enders of Germany as its co-chief executives. Humbert, the current number two at Airbus, will take over from Forgeard as the chief executive at Airbus, which is the main activity in the EADS group, the company said in a statement on Saturday. The EADS board had delayed naming its new leadership as French and German shareholders battled over who should head the Toulouse-based aircraft maker.
