GM, Toyota to discuss tie-up

Rick Wagoner, chief executive officer of General Motors Corp, will visit Japan, probably next Saturday, for a meeting with Toyota Motors Corp President Fujio Cho and other executives, apparently seeking a technical tie-up, sources said Thursday. In the meeting, Toyota is expected to agree to share its know-how in the fields of safety and environmental technology, such as hybrid cars, with the US auto giant.
