Arambagh Krira Sangha rubbed salt into the wounds of Mohammedan Sporting Club as they beat the popular giants 3-1 to move into the semifinals of the Independence Day football tournament at the Rajshahi Stadium yesterday.Majibur Rahman Ritu struck twice and Ridhon added the other in the second-half as Arambagh came from a goal down in the first-half to eliminate their Dhaka neighbours. It was Mohammedan's third defeat in row after their humiliating 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Abahani and a 1-0 semifinal loss against Muktijoddha in the Federation Cup. In front of a strong 15,000 crowd, striker Monju gave the Black and Whites a sixth minute lead, heading home a Faisal corner.
