AL holds rallies across country today

The main opposition Awami League (AL) will hold protest rallies across the country today against alleged extra-judicial killings by Rapid Action Battalion (Rab), police and other security agencies.The rallies will be held in Dhaka and other parts of the country also to protest the latest killing of Meghna Upazila AL joint secretary Hazi Mafijul Islam Dud Miah at the hands of Rab. In Dhaka, the main rally will be held at Muktangan at 4:00pm, party sources said. AL General Secretary Abdul Jalil in a statement yesterday urged the party men to join the rallies.
