Cavaliers became champions in the Partex WECCA Cricket League with a two-wicket victory over The Cricketers in the final at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium on Friday. Former national opener turned national selector Athar Ali hit an unbeaten 84 off 110 balls as Cricketers scored 197-9 in the stipulated 40 overs. Cavaliers, in reply, reached 199-8 with nine balls to spare. Tutul top scored 74 off 82 balls.
