Former board officials join campaign

The quest for bringing cricket back to Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) continued as former cricket board officials joined the ongoing campaign that was initiated by cricketers and officials.Criticising the government's decision to move to Mirpur from the BNS, ten former board presidents and secretaries jointly signed a statement yesterday demanding the return of cricket to the premier venue which virtually earned the nation Test status. They signatories are Raisuddin Ahmed, Aminul Haque Moni, Mojibur Rahman, Tanveer Mazhar Islam, MN Taher, Reza-E-Karim, Muzaffar Hossain Paltu, M Akmal Husain, Anisul Islam Mahmud and Saber Hossain Chowdhury.
