Mohammedan is not paying Kang

Korean coach Man Young Kang has yet to receive his salary from Mohammedan Sporting Club even after being sacked by the popular club last month.

Mohammedan sacked Kang on March 28 after the club found his services unsatisfactory but the Korean has been waiting to receive his salary for nearly a month.

"I have been waiting in Dhaka for nearly four weeks and I am in grave trouble now," Kang told The Daily Star Sport over phone yesterday.

"They have taken back the car I have been using and they have served me a notice that I have to leave the house I am staying in by this month. I have no money and where shall I go now?" asked the worried Kang who coached the Bangladesh national team in 1995.

Kang told that the club has not paid him his salary of one and a half months. Kang joined Mohammedan last December for a monthly salary of 3,500 dollars in addition to local hospitality.

He also complained that two Korean footballers, who played for the Black and Whites in the Independence Day Cup before being sent back, also did not get one month's salary. The club owes 2,500 dollars to each player plus a return-ticket to Korea for striker Kim Jae Woon.

"The club has repeatedly taken time to settle the issue but failed to pay me. I will also be held responsible for the money of the players who have left," said Kang adding that he had no other way but to complain to the Asian Football Confederation about it now.
