Opposition urged to withdraw March 31 hartal

The Bangladesh Optical Industries and Traders Association has appealed to the opposition party to withdraw its hartal programme on March 31 for smooth holding of the International Optic Fair 'Bangla Optica-2005.' The association, in a press release yesterday, said a number of optic traders from home and abroad will take part in the three-day fair scheduled to begin on that day. The fair is very important from the national point of view as it provides an excellent opportunity for the development of optic industries in the country through exchange of opinions among the stakeholders, the press release added. The association also thanked the opposition party for the withdrawal of hartal on the Easter Sunday.
